Library Districts

We understand the unique laws that apply to Colorado’s library districts, including the original state statutes dating back to the 1860s. We can advise on all areas of interest for libraries, from personnel matters to intellectual freedom as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. We draft intergovernmental agreements, contracts and policies, and assist our library clients with financing, TABOR elections, real property acquisitions and construction projects. We also assist with matters relating to Colorado’s open meetings and open records laws.
