A native Coloradan, Dillon Sena began his legal career litigating guardianship cases before shifting his focus to special district law and representing political subdivisions across Colorado. His practice includes advising districts on statutory and regulatory compliance, board operations—including resolutions, policies and bylaws—and property matters such as inclusions, exclusions, easements and other property-related issues.
He also counsels clients on employment and personnel issues, contract negotiations and collective bargaining agreements. Dillon regularly attends board meetings to provide real-time legal counsel and ensure compliance with Colorado’s open records and open meetings laws. Dillon focuses on building strong relationships with clients and takes time to understand the historical context of each district and its board. He stays up to date with Colorado’s evolving legal landscape to help governmental entities remain compliant, transparent and effective.
Dillon Sena earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law.
In his free time, you’ll likely find Dillon doing what many Coloradans do—spending time outdoors with his family. He enjoys camping, hiking and exploring Colorado with his wife and their dog.
